"Letting go is not failure,
but making room for growth."
I knew something had to change. My days were filled with calling, arranging, pulling on everything and everyone and moving on. My business was running fine, my team was doing its job, yet it felt like everything was resting on me. I was tired. Not just physically, but mostly mentally. I felt like I couldn't let go of control, that everything depended on me.
And while the world around me was constantly changing, I was standing still. Or rather, I was running, but without moving forward. When I heard about the trip to Alaska, I knew: I had to do this. A moment, all to myself, to break free from routine, be offline and seek silence.
The first evening
Alaska immediately confronted me with stillness and letting go. The hike through the mountains was tough, but gave me space to reflect. At night by the campfire, we shared our stories and insights, and for the first time I saw how stuck I was in control and perfectionism. Later, on a glacier, I made a commitment to myself: wanting to do less myself, trusting the process more, creating more moments of rest.
Back home, I notice the difference. The whole experience seeps into everyday life. That this trip can make such an impact! I delegate more, allow myself breaks and feel lighter. My business and my team are not suffering - on the contrary, they are growing. This journey was not a luxury, but a necessary reset. Of course, sometimes I fall back into the old. Then I schedule a session with Eline, and I know again what to do. I now know that things can be done differently, which motivates me to keep investing in myself. One day I won't have to think about it anymore, and it will happen by itself.
